2. Val then takes him to visits Granda in hospital.

6. However, Rory stops him from doing so.

2. There, he meets Tony who is a friendly and helpful resident.

5. They tell him about Tess.

6. Tess has violent bouts of anger and temper  tantrums.

7. Rory spends his first night at Castle Street.

5. She  reminds  Granda  of  Grace  Kelly, an old movie  star.

6. She will  organise  a home  help  for  Granda.
7. Mrs Foley becomes even more  concerned about  Rory  after  Parents’ Night.

8. Rory tells  Mrs  Foley  about  the social worker.

9. She is happy to  hear  that.

10. On  his  way  home  from  school, Rory learns  that  there has  been  a  fire at  his apartment.

11. Granda has left the chip pan on.

12. It has caught  fire  and  burnt  down  the apartment.

1.It is Parents’s Night and Mrs Foley finally meets Granda.

2. He points out to her  that  she  has  a moustache.

3. Right  at the moment  they  smell  smoke.

4. Granda’s  coat  on  fire.

5.Mrs Foley ‘s coat  and  scarf ,which are hung next  to 

Granda ‘ s coat  , are  also  on  fire.

6.Darren ‘ s  father  throws  water  on  the  coats  and  stops  the  fire.

7. Granda  finds  the  incidents  funny  and  exciting  , just  like a boy  would.

5. The next day in class, his classmates try to help Rory think up excuses he could give Mrs Foley.

6. They like to help him because they often find Granda’s action hilarious.

7. Rory tells Mrs Foley the truth, that he had lost his homework.

8. She asks him about Granda.

2. Dr Nicol is their family doctor.

3. Granda feels restless for he likes seeing the doctor.

5. Suddenly, smoke comes out from his pocket.

6. It is from his pipe.

7. He has forgotten to put it properly before keeping it in his pocket.

8. Dr Nicol says that he will do his best to get a home help for Granda.
