summary of CHAPTER 6:

1. Granda is admitted to hospital  for burns.

2. Rory is very scared.

3. He prays to God for Granda’s recovery.

4. He calls God ‘Big Man’.

5. Val Jessup visits them in hospital.

6. She tells Rory that’s he has to stay at Castle Street, an orphanage, for the moment.

7. Rory leaves for Castle Street reluctantly.
